I had to come off facebook because my old schoolfriends found me a bit too enthusiastic. The chat applet didn't work, the lockdown settings too restrictive (no one could actually see what I'd put up). Online social networking is doomed to fail as people "fall off" it, due to boredom or acquiring a life. Or maybe, folk just realised I was boring.

Ok... At least I'm not the only one who thinks the old and new terms are just the same gibberish. I thought I was going crazy for a minute.

Modern times, all value is exploited and gamed.

FaceBook is very open, little secret, however many are too busy to monitor changes, that is the catch, get em while it is popular.

Closed and more regulated sites are upcoming.

Facebook reminds me of the scene in movie, Quantum of Solace, the opera scene, ~ "...a better place to meet is needed," all there faces were captured by Bond, behind the scenes.

It's very pathetic to see a website even having to go through this with users. The people who stick with this website are just as stubborn. Why even write a letter? Just leave. It's just a website.

Stupid college punks. Worthless DNA.

I'm in full agreement. They are certainly welcome to take community input, or do things as they please; it's their site. But it's disturbing to see whenever an orginization impliments an "ideas box" and tries to pass it off as "democracy". (Sadly, EVE Online does this as well.) While I'm not sure any legal case can be made, the claims and notions that somehow this is a democratic process only serves to confuse and mislead people.

In my case, the 'encouragement' to vote is placed prominently on my facebook page.

I'm missing the 'I don't like either policy. Go fix.' option.
