<description>Over at Matt Blaze's Blog his 4 June posting is titled,

California Voting Systems Review

http://www.crypto.com/blog/california_voting/

The review has been put in place by California Secretary of State Debra Bowen to answer one simple question,

"Are all of California's voting systems secure, accurate, reliable and accessible?"

The review is to be carried out by people such as David Wagner (U.C. Berkeley), Matt Bishop (U.C. Davis) and others including Matt himself. It is a top to bottom review including source code analysis.

As Matt say's

"This has the potential to be one of the most comprehensive independent evaluations of election technologies ever performed, and is especially significant given California's large size and the variety of systems used there. "

I hope that it delivers on it's potential as there is a lot there we could all learn from.

There is a DPF FAQ of the review at,
